Erez Ofer joined Greylock Partners in 2005 and resides in Israel. His areas of focus include: Data-Center infrastructure and Software, Data Storage technology, Virtualization and Cloud Computing.
Before coming to Greylock Erez served as Executive vice president in charge of technology strategy for EMC Corporation, reporting to president and CEO Joe Tucci.
Previously, Erez served as EMC's Executive vice president of open software, a business that grew from one product line to a multi-hundred million dollar level.
During his eleven-year tenure at EMC Erez also held various R&D roles, he oversaw development efforts with strategic partners, and established EMC's first R&D presence in California and India.
A holder of more than 30 storage-related patents, he also served in various development and project management roles at Silver Arrow in Israel and the U.S., as well as with the Israeli Air Force.
Erez's investments include: Actifio, Precise Software, Camero and EnStorage.
Erez holds engineering undergraduate and Masters degrees from The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts
